SDGs

What are SDGs?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of global targets up to the year 2030, adopted by the United Nations in September 2015. Incorporated into the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development"—which was adopted by the consensus of all member states at the UN Sustainable Development Summit as an action plan for people, planet, and prosperity—the SDGs serve as a blueprint for a better future.
The SDGs consist of 17 overarching goals and 169 specific targets. Aiming for achievement by 2030 while balancing the three dimensions of society, economy, and environment, these goals require collaborative action from not only governments but all individuals and organizations.
Under the core philosophy of "Leaving No One Behind," the SDGs set concrete objectives to end poverty in all its forms, fight inequalities, and tackle climate change while building a highly sustainable society.

SDGs Declaration

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted at the United Nations Summit in 2015.
It is an international framework targeting 2030, where 193 UN member states work together under the unified philosophy of
"Leaving No One Behind" to resolve global challenges, including poverty, climate change, and gender inequalities.

At Miyama Corporation Co., Ltd., guided by our core corporate philosophy to "continuously deliver Peace of Mind (An, Shin, Kan) to all people,"
We believe it is our essential responsibility as a logistics provider to define clear targets and establish behavioral guidelines that maximize our social contribution.

Through our business activities, we aim to look beyond mere economic prosperity, striving to realize a sustainable society by contributing to
"ensuring workplace health and safety," "maintaining social justice," "engaging in social contribution activities," and "reducing environmental impact."

Specifically, we will deploy initiatives centered on four core mandates: "establishing environments where employees can work with peace of mind," "ensuring stable corporate growth and business ethics," "operating operations that minimize our impact on the natural environment,"
and "actively contributing to local communities."
These commitments represent our firm determination to promote sustainable social development and secure an environment where future generations can live with absolute peace of mind.

Furthermore, we believe there lies an "18th Goal" beyond the 17 goals defined by the UN.
To realize our unique corporate mission of "continuously delivering Peace of Mind to all people,"
our entire organization stands united in conducting business activities that make meaningful and continuous contributions to society.
